Polk Audio on Thursday announced the launch of a new brand called Polk Audio Designs. Polk Audio Designs is launching with with the MiDock10, a $199 portable audio system for the iPod, available exclusively through RadioShack retail stores.
The MiDock10 works with iPods equipped with dock connectors and comes in black. The device features two 3.25-inch full-range drivers. It can connect to a Mac or PC using USB, so you can keep your iPod synced while it’s in the MiDock10, and it has an auxiliary input to connect other audio devices. It also comes equipped with a headphone jack.
A 12V AC adapter is included, but you can take the MiDock10 with you on the go using 8 C cell batteries. Handles on both ends make it easier to carry.
The MiDock10 ships with three docking cradle adapters and a wireless remote control.
Polk Audio Designs also plans to offer a slightly larger and differently styled variation called the MiDock Studio in April, for $299.
