Freeverse on Thursday announced the release of Sound Studio 3.5, an update to the sound recording and editing software for Mac OS X. A free update for Sound Studio 3 users, Sound Studio 3.5 costs $79.95. A demo is available.
Sound Studio provides tools used for creating multi-track audio mixes, adjusting levels and equalization, applying digital effects and transformation tools to allow you to save audio in all major file formats.
Highlighted enhancements in Sound Studio 3.5 include ID3 tag and iTunes metadata editing; Apple Lossless, ADTS AAC, NeXT/Sun audio and Ogg Vorbis format support; chapters in AAC and Apple Lossless; playback scrolling preferences; MP3 bit rates down to 8, 16 and 24 kbps and more.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later, G3/500MHz or faster, 512MB RAM, 1GB hard disk space (for storing audio data). Sound Studio is a Universal binary.
