Ecamm Network has released Call Recorder for Skype 2.0, a new version of its add-on for the popular Voice over IP (VoIP) communications software. Call Recorder costs $14.95 — the update is free for registered users.
Call Recorder makes it possible for Mac users to record their calls as files that they can then play back or edit using other sound software. It records incoming and outgoing Skype calls as QuickTime files, and supports AAC encoding.
Skype for Mac recently added video teleconferencing support, and Call Recorder for Skype has been updated to support the new feature. The software can now encode video as an archived file using the H.264 codec.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later, Skype for Mac 2.5 and an Intel or PowerPC processor.
