The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) trade show is happening later this month, and it will gather video experts from around the country and around the globe to discuss the latest advances in broadcast technology. The Final Cut Pro Users Group (FCPUG) Network plan their six annual SuperMeet gathering during the event, and tickets are now on sale for $15 each. The SuperMeet takes place on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 from 6:30 PM to 10 PM.
The FCPUG Network SuperMeet will welcome Walter Murch, the well-known film and sound editor. He’s currently editing Francis Ford Coppola’s new film, “Youth Without Youth,” and will discuss how their workflow utilizes Final Cut Pro. Demos will be provided from Blackmagic Design, SmartSound and JVC, and Paul Saconne and Richard Townhill of Apple’s Final Cut Studio team will also be on stage.
There is also a raffle event planned, and 28 vendors will set up right outside the theater.
