Ambrosia Software announced Tuesday the release of GooBall 1.0.2, a Universal binary version of their popular 3D platform action game. A free update for registered users, GooBall 1.0.2 costs $25 to register.
GooBall puts you in control of the Goober, a gooey ball of alien protoplasm that’s been captured by the CIA. The Goober has to navigate through obstacle courses like a rat in a maze. You have to be careful not to fall off the edge of the platforms, and you can make yourself “sticky” to help — as well as to make tight turns and scale walls.
Other changes in the 1.0.2 release include an update to the physics engine for improved simulation, various bug fixes and enhancements.
GooBall, the first commercial game based around the Unity game engine, features six distinct worlds. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3 or later.
