Mark/Space has announced the release of The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile 3.0.2, a maintenance update to its software that enables Windows Mobile smartphones and PDAs to sync with the Mac. A free update for registered users, the software costs $39.95 to download.
With The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile installed, Mac users can exchange contacts, calendars, notes and other data with Windows Mobile-based devices. It works with iPhoto and iTunes, supports a wide range of Windows Mobile devices including those running Windows Mobile 5, such as the Motorola Q and certain Palm Treo models.
New to this release is a removal of the requirement that the device be running in “flight mode” prior to connecting to the Mac. The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile also adds support for the Orange M3100 and HP RX 19xx series devices.
System requirements call for a G4, G5 or Intel-based Mac, Mac OS X v10.4.8 or later, and a compatible Windows Mobile-based device.
