Griffin Technology on Friday expanded its line of iPod cases with three new models: The Courier, the Tempo for the iPod shuffle and the iVault for iPod nano. They cost $29.99, $14.99 and $24.99 respectively. All are shipping now.
The Courier, made of leather and Cordura, features an adjustable wrap that goes around the carrying strap of your backpack or shoulder bag. It holds the iPod and its accessories — there’s room for cables, earbuds, adapters and more. It also features reflective trim and detachable cases to fit the iPod nano and full-size video iPod.
The Tempo is an armband case for the second-generation iPod shuffle. Made of elastic micro-membrane fiber, it features an industrial-strength hook and loop closure, and is machine washable. It comes in either black or grey and also sports reflective trim so you can be easily seen at night.
The iVault for iPod nano is an aluminum case designed for the second-generation iPod nano. It’s an all-metal enclosure that provides you with access to the iPod’s screen, click wheel, ports and switch. The iVault stays closed using magnets; an integrated rubber plug closes the port at the bottom until you’re ready to sync the iPod nano.
