G-Technology on Monday rolled out the
G-RAID2 2000, a new 2 terabyte (TB) configuration of their triple-interface desktop RAID storage system. It’s coming next month at a price to be announced.
The G-RAID2 2000 features two 1TB 3.5-inch hard disk mechanism inside — Hitachi’s new Deskstar model, which spins at 7200RPM and communicates with the on-bard bridge chip using SATA. The drives are arrayed together using RAID Level 0.
The drive sports FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 interfaces, and comes in a compact aluminum chassis that complements Apple’s pro line of desktop hardware.
G-Tech’s Web site had not been updated with information about the new 2TB model as
