Lexmark International on Tuesday announced the addition of new models to its line of low-cost inkjet printers. They’re all Mac and PC-compatible and some even feature wireless networking capabilities.
The $129.99 X4550 Wireless All-In-One prints at up to 26 pages per minute (PPM) in black and white or 18 ppm in color. It can print borderless photos without a computer using its digital memory card slots, USB flash drives or PictBridge-compatible digital cameras; it also sports built-in 802.11b/g wireless networking capabilities. A 48-bit flatbed color scanner doubles as a copier and can scan photos or documents.
The Z1420 is a wireless color printer that is priced at $79.99. It prints at up to 24ppm black and 18 ppm color, and offers six-color printing as an option. It also sports 802.11b/g compatible wireless networking capabilities.
The X3550 is another color all-in-one device that doesn’t include wireless networking but offers it as an option — however, it’s priced at $79.99. It can print 24ppm black and 17ppm color, and features one-touch copy and scan and photo printing options. Features include photo proof sheet printing, 48-bit color flatbed scanner and borderless printing capabilities.
All of Lexmark’s new devices work with PowerPC and Intel-based Macs.
