Are you a fan of crossword puzzles? uClick has released a Macintosh version of Infinite Crosswords, a casual puzzler designed for wordsmiths. It costs $19.95 and a downloadable demo is available.
The game features multiple difficulty levels, hint options and features you won’t find in the newspaper version of a crossword puzzle. You can play crosswords from USA Today, the L.A. Times, Universal, Jonesin’ and the Washington Post — more than 100 puzzles are included, and the “Check for New Puzzles” feature lets you download more besides.
An auto-save feature lets you save games in progress, and you can print puzzles as well (solved or unsolved). You can also change game color schemes to create an environment better suited to your aesthetic sensibilities — everything from a traditional “silver gray” motif similar to what you see in the newspaper to “Funkadelic,” “Cool Blue” or “Primary School.”
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2 or later and a 500MHz or faster processor.
