Saitek Industries has introduced the new Obsidian Mouse, a $49.99 wireless mouse that works with Macs and Windows PCs. The device features a touch-sensitive scroll area instead of a conventional scroll wheel.
Designed around 2.4GHz wireless RF technology, the mouse uses a dongle to communicate with a Mac or PC. It comes with two lithium ion battery packs — one to use, one to recharge — so you won’t run out of juice.
The mouse sports 1,000 dot per inch (DPI) optical sensors and left, right and center buttons, along with Internet forward and backward buttons on both sides. That, along with a symmetrical shape, make the Obsidian well-suited for either left or right-handed users.
