Second-generation iPod shuffle owners will be able to plug their 1GB music players into speaker systems and other devices designed for full-sized dockable iPods, thanks to a new adapter from Griffin Technology.
The Dock Adapter for iPod shuffle is shaped like the dock connector on the bottom of a full-size iPod. The $20 adapter plugs into the shuffle’s headphone jack, giving the shuffle 30-pin dock connector capability.
The Dock Adapter also features a slider switch for toggling between Charge/Sync and Audio mode. Charge/Sync lets data transfer and iTunes synchronization take place between the shuffle and the attached system. The Audio mode connects the shuffle to a speaker system.
