MacRabbit has released CSSEdit 2.5, an update to its Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) editor, useful for Web page editors and designers who need to tweak the look of their Web site. It costs $29.95 to register; upgrades from 1.x are $14.95, and a demo is available.
CSSEdit provides visual control over the way that Web page elements look when they’re developed using the popular CSS standard. It can analyze existing Web sites and download CSS pages automatically; it even works with Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) content.
New to this release is an “X-ray Inspector” that integrates CSS files from your Web page, a Selection Builder that describes styles using plain English, a feature called “Intelligent CodeSense” that analyzes CSS to provide context-sensitive suggestions, and a streamlined interface.
CSSEdit requires Mac OS X v10.4 or later. It’s a Universal binary. The downloadable demo is restricted to saving fields with fewer than 2,500 characters.
