Griffin Technology announced Monday that it’s shipping the AirDock, a docking station for the iPod that comes bundled with a wireless remote control. It costs $69.99.
The AirDock features a universal dock that works with dock connector-equipped iPods (fourth generation and up), iPod minis and iPod nanos. A USB interface enables you to connect it to a host computer for syncing, and an AV cable lets you attach the Airdock to your home entertainment system.
With the remote in hand, you can listen to music and audiobooks, watch TV shows, movies and music videos, and view slideshows using your TV and stereo. The wireless remote control uses Radio Frequency (RF) technology, so it doesn’t require a line of sight.
Griffin includes its own PowerBlock AC adapter to act as a power supply to the device.
