zCover has introduced its new TypeOn Preprinted Language Keyboard Skin for Apple’s MAacBook. The $24.95 silicone keyboard cover protects the MacBook’s keys while providing additional clarity so you know what keys to press.
Unlike other keyboard skins, this one features printed letters that correspond to what’s underneath, so it’s easier to see where each letter, number and symbol is located — particularly handy if you’re not a touch-typist or need the occasional reminder to know which key to press.
Made of flexible silicone, the TypeOn skin is washable and durable; it helps protect the keyboard from spills, dust and crumbs. zCover makes them in a variety of translucent “ice” colors, including clear, blue, green, pink, purple and yellow, so you can add a customized look to your MacBook. They also offer an opaque white version.
In related news, the original unprinted keyboard skin is still available at a reduced price, from $24.95 to $19.95.
zCover’s Web site indicates that other preprinted keyboard skins are also available for Apple’s Keyboard and Wireless Keyboard, and ones appear to be coming soon for the MacBook Pro as well.
