Freeverse on Monday announced the release of
1.3.2, an update to their vector-based illustration software for Mac OS X. A free update for registered users, Lineform costs $79.95 to register; a demo is available for download.
Lineform was developed to give artists, illustrators and graphic designers an inexpensive and manageable alternative to Adobe Illustrator. Featuring support for Tiger’s Core Image technology, the software offers users real-time non-destructive filters, Bezier editing tools, Boolean operation support, advanced typesetting, Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) support and more.
Lineform 1.3.2 adds support for Gaussian Blur effects in SVG files, and improves PDF parsing gradients and text. A document layout issue has been fixed and the registration system and demo handling has been updated.
Lineform requires Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later (Core Image filters require 10.4 or later). Lineform is a Universal binary.
