Chronos has released iScrapbook, a new digital scrapbooking kit for Mac OS X. It costs $49.99.
The software lets you design and print scrapbook projects using digital photos. You create pages comprising digital photos and artwork, using techniques like image cropping, photo effects, transparency and gradients, and you can access more advanced effects like selective focusing, clipping images to shapes and filling text with images. iScrapbook includes more than 100 different “smart masks” that can be used both on shapes and images.
The software includes Chronos’ SOHO Art Pack — it contains more than 40,000 pieces of clip art and pro-shot photos. You can add traditional photo corners to your images, use photo frames, background papers and more. The software integrates with iPhoto, so you can import albums and photos using a built-in browser.
A 30-day demo download is available. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later, 46MB hard disk space (3.9GB for the full clip art collection), DVD-ROM for installation, inkjet or laser printer optional. iScrapbook is a Universal binary.
