Mindjet has announced MindManager 7, a new version of its software for visualizing and managing information. It’s due to be released by the end of May and will cost $129. Users who buy version 6 now can get upgraded for free.
MindManager is a mind mapping application. It lets you lay out concepts and manage information visually, a handy technique for brainstorming and team collaboration. The software helps you create project plans, set up processes and manage meetings.
New to this release are new features such as a new way to select topics by rules, which can then be applied as filters, the ability to print large maps across multiple pages, add headers and footers and borders, more import/export capabilities (including support for OPML, HTML and text outline), a new Outline View, image library enhancements and a new timer to help keep meetings on track.
A free trial version of MindManager 6 is available for download. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later.
Editor’s Note: Due to a reporting error the price was originally listed as $229. It is actually $129.
