Mark/Space has released The Missing Sync for BlackBerry v1.0.1, a free update for the utility that enables Macs to synchronize content with BlackBerry handheld devices. The Missing Sync for BlackBerry costs $39.95.
With The Missing Sync for BlackBerry installed, you can sync Address Book and iCal data, including to dos, reminders and more. An included application called Mark/Space Notebook lets you create, edit, categorize, sort and search notes on your Mac, then sync them to your BlackBerry device.
If you have a BlackBerry “Pearl” (8100), The Missing Sync will also synchronize iTunes playlists and iPhoto albums. It also works with other Sync Services-savvy applications like Chronos SOHO Organizer, Microsoft Entourage 2004 and Market Circle Daylite.
New to this release is native French and German language support, a Folder Sync plug-in that syncs the contents of a folder on the Mac with a microSD card on the BlackBerry, additional Address Book field mappings, proper handling of all-day calendar events synced from Entourage 2004 and more.
The Missing Sync for BlackBerry requires Mac OS X v10.4.8 or later and a G4 or better (including Intel).
