Lucerne Systems has announced the release of Horizon, a new personal financial management application for Mac OS X. It costs $29.95, and a downloadable demo is available.
Horizon uses a calendar-based interface similar to iCal to help you create budgets and financial plans, rather than a conventional checkbook or ledger interface. The idea is to provide you with a view of where your money comes from and where it’s going. You can hide and show different categories and move backward and forward in time.
Horizon features the ability to drag and drop to move and copy cells, along with a simple repeat system to account for recurring transactions, such as your paycheck or car payment.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later. Horizon is a Universal binary.
