Mariner Software on Wednesday released Montage 1.2.2, a free update to their screenwriting software for Mac OS X. Montage costs $139.99.
Montage provides scriptwriters with features like a live script outline, view of scenes, characters, locations, tasks and research. It includes preformatted templates for movie, TV and theater script creation, and will automatically format the script to industry standards. A Smart View mode lets writers visually filter the script to desired content, based on criteria. What’s more, Montage includes contact management information so you can use it to help you send out scripts, track submissions and create query letters.
New to this release is a popup for the Element suggestion list that appears after you press a single keyboard key. Bugs in Annotations, style application, inserting scenes in Script View and typing problems associated with Mac OS X v10.3.9 have been fixed. Text boxes are now centered in Scenes View.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9. Montage is a Universal binary. A 30-day trial download is available.
