Belkin International has introduced
new pink versions
of its Sport Armband and “Hope” Remix Metal cases for the iPod nano. The cases each cost $29.99; they go on sale on May 6, 2007, and a portion of the proceeds go to a breast cancer charity.
Belkin will donate 10 percent of the retail price of each cover sold to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a non-profit organization focused on an end to breast cancer. Belkin has pledged a minimum of $100,000.
The Sport Armband is affixed with pink accents and a pink ribbon (the official color for breast cancer awareness). The armband features a stitchless construction, and it’s hand-washable and water-resistant. The “Hope” Remix Metal case for the iPod nano is made of clear acrylic and brushed metal. It also sports a pink finish and pink ribbon graphic, and uses a soft-touch clickwheel protector.
