Ambrosia Software on Monday announced plans to publish a Macintosh version of Aquaria. The game was the winner of the grand prize award at this year’s Independent Game Festival (IGF), part of the Game Developers Conference.
Aquaria is a side-scrolling underwater action game in which you take control of Naija, who unearths the history of her home and goes on a quest to discover the fate of her people. Naija swims through a massive world teeming with undersea life, encounters hundreds of different plants and animals, explores hidden caves, lost ruins and other places.
Ambrosia hasn’t revealed a release date or system requirements for Aquaria for Mac, but the company notes that it will be a Universal binary.
