Pioneer on Wednesday introduced four new A/V receivers as part of its Elite line — the VSX-90TXV, VSX-91TXH, VSX-92TXH and VSX-94TXH. They’ll roll out this June through August for $650, $1000, $1300 and $1600 respectively.
All four of the new receivers share similar features: Sirius and XM Satellite Radio support, multi-room and multi-source capabilities, LCD learning remotes, 7.1 surround sound capabilities and more.
They also feature iPod docking support using the optional $99 IDK-80 device, a dedicated iPod dock that enables Pioneer Elite receiver owners to display their iPod menus on-screen, watch videos and view photo albums stored on photo and video iPods on a television, control the iPod using the receiver’s remote, and charge the battery.
Other capabilities vary by model; some include HDMI 1.3a support, “Neural-THX Surround” decoding and other special features.
