Endicia for Mac 2.5 is now available for download from the software Web site. Endicia is a postage printing system that’s Mac and PC-compatible. It costs $15.95 per month, plus the cost of postage. A 30-day free trial is available.
Endicia for Mac lets you print mailing labels, envelopes and “InstaPostage” labels straight from your Mac. It calculates domestic and international rates, offers you free delivery confirmation when using Priority Mail delivery, features support for electronic postage scales, keeps track of your deliveries with an integrated shipping log, and handles certified mail and return receipt deliveries.
New to the 2.5 release is support for the U.S. Postal Service’s new rates, which go into effect on May 14, 2007. You can now print labels and envelopes in batches, and you can also identify “favorites,” if there are packages you frequently send.
Other changes in 2.5 include discounts for international Express Mail and Priority Mail deliveries (compared to over-the-counter rates), and enhancements to InstaPostage and Customs Forms printing.
Endicia for Mac requires Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later. It’s a Universal binary.
