Artists interested in having their work featured at this year’s “ Into the Pixel ” video game art exhibition must have their entries submitted quickly. The submission deadline is Friday, May 11th, though the event’s coordinators note that submissions will continue to accepted through the weekend.
“Into the Pixel” is an annual exhibition featuring artwork created by the makers of video and computer games. An annual fixture at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Into the Pixel will continue this year both at the E3 Media and Business Summit and at the E for All Expo.
A joint effort of the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Into the Pixel celebrates the artistic creations of those who make video and computer games. Jurors include museum curators, artists, designers and more.
The art selected for this year’s exhibition will be announced at a reception and jury panel discussion at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in June. It will be unveiled during the E3 Media and Business Summit in July, and will be featured at a public gallery at E for All Expo, which takes place from Oct. 18 – 21, 2007 at the LA Convention Center.
