IDG World Expo on Monday announced the Entertainment for All Expo (E for All) will be the final and biggest U.S. event for the World Series of Video Games (WSVG) before it heads to Europe for its final two events. E for All takes place from October 18 – 21, 2007 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The E for All edition of the WSVG will feature more than $90,000 in cash prizes and four arenas of competitive play on multiple titles, including World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. Also to be featured will be Guitar Hero II, Fight Night Round 3 and Call of Duty 2.
The WSVG is a competitive video game playing circuit that will make its way from Louisville, Ken. to Dallas, Texas in June and July. Los Angeles is the last stateside stop for the event — replacing a previously-scheduled Orlando, Fla. tournament — and then the series moves to Europe in late October. The final round is set to happen in Jönköping, Sweden from Nov. 29 – Dec. 2, 2007. Last year’s WSVG attracted more than 90,000 attendees.
E for All is a new event created for anyone and everyone who loves video games. The show essentially replaces the old Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) that happened each year in May, but was supposed to be a game industry-only event.
IDG World Expo and Macworld publisher Mac Publishing are both business units of International Data Group (IDG).
