Pro audio earphone-maker Future Sonics on Tuesday began offering its new Atrio Series earphones to consumers on a limited basis. The company typically makes earphones for professional musicians, but said interest from consumers led them to offer the Atrio in a variety of markets.
“Future Sonics is a Pro Audio products company, focused on the Pro Audio market,” said Daniel East, director of worldwide marketing and artist relations for Future Sonics. “Our mission continues to be the satisfaction of professional musicians, audio engineers and producers. We’re humbled that so many people are interested in what we’ve developed.”
A universal-fit earphone, the Atrio also features some of Future Sonics more advanced technologies, like TrueTimbre. This technology allows users to hear more accurate audio at lower volumes — this is the reason pros prefer the Future Sonics product because it is easier on their ears.
The Atrio Series is also recognized by H.E.A.R. (Hearing Awareness and Education for Rockers) as a product offering its full range of sound and performance at the lowest volumes.
The Atrio comes with three interchangeable pairs of Future Sonics designed EarFills dual-flange silicon sleeves (small, medium and large) that allow the earpiece to fit snugly in any size ear canal. As another option, the Atrio Series comes with two pairs of Future Sonics designed ComfortFit foam sleeves (large and small); these sleeves can replace the EarFills for wearers who prefer a more complete seal of the ear canal.
The Atrio Series earphones are available in two models — the m5 edition in black, and the m8 edition in cobalt blue. Both models are priced at $199.00/pair and come with a protective carrying case. Atrio Series earphones carry a two-year warranty and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.
