DVDxDV Pro, the software used to export content from unencrypted DVDs back on to the Mac, has added direct export for the Apple TV in its latest release. A free update for registered users, DVDxDV Pro costs $80.
DVDxDV Pro is aimed at professional video users. It allows video to be extracted from a DVD and imported into Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer and other high-end video editing systems, extracting multi-channel audio, interlaced field reversal and more, and includes a variety of features not found in the consumer version, DVDxDV.
DVDxDV and DVDxDV Pro don’t incorporate any decryption technology; they’re designed to decode unencrypted or non-file protected DVD media, such as those made using iDVD or DVD Studio Pro.
