Sonos on Wednesday introduced the Sonos Bundle 130, a collection of three of its products designed to help you create a multi-room audio system. It costs $999.
Sonos’ ZonePlayer hardware enables you to play your digital music wherever you’d like. It connects to your computer using a peer-to-peer wireless “mesh” network that streams music to other ZonePlayers.
The Bundle 130 includes one ZP80 model, which connects to a home theater receiver or stereo system; one ZP100, which incorporates its own amplifier, and connects directly to speakers; and a Sonos Controller 100 (CR100).
The CR100 features a built-in color LCD display and control surfaces that enable you to view the contents of your digital music collection, navigate playlists, and build lists of songs to play. The CR100 works in conjunction with Desktop Controller software for a Mac or PC.
The Bundle 130 price represents a 20 percent discount off the sum off the components, if purchased individually. Additional Sonos products are also available, including ZonePlayers, loudspeakers and a charging cradle for the CR100.
