Monkey Tools has announced the release of Sound Grinder 3.0, a major upgrade to its sound conversion utility for Mac OS X. Sound Grinder costs $39.
Sound Grinder enables you to convert audio between popular formats including Sound Designer 2, WAV/BWAV, AU, AIFF, Ogg Vorbis, MP3 (LAME codec), QuickTime and more. The software also includes a contextual menu and Dock conversion tool for on-the-fly conversions.
New to the 3.0 version is Universal binary support for native operation on both PowerPC and Intel-based Macs, along with new features like “Droplets” for drag and drop conversion, support for QuickTime components including Telestream’s Flip4Mac Windows Media Component and enhanced metadata editing.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3 or later and QuickTime 6.3 or later. QuickTime 6.5 or later may be required for some operations.
