Canto Software has announced the release of Cumulus 7.5, an update to its digital asset management product line for Mac OS X and Windows. The update is free for users on maintenance packages.
Cumulus is digital asset management software for workgroups. It helps you find, share and publish files. It’s designed to be a cornerstone element of a creative workflow, helping users organize the flow of data, create various output options, and locate assets that they might otherwise have lost or destroyed permanently.
New to this release is support for Windows Vista, Microsoft Office 2007 and Adobe inDesign CS3. Also new is the ability to hide the master category tabs from certain users and groups, the ability to perform user-defined “trigger” actions when metadata is changed, the addition of a new collection basket that lets you gather assets using drag and drop, new formula-based metadata fields, enhanced metadata support for Apple iWork applications, and support for more than 40 new file formats.
Support for digital camera “raw” files has expanded with more than 50 new models, reliability has been improved and Calendar and other side panels are now included with the Cumulus Web clients.
