Mark/Space on Friday announced plans to produce a new version of its Missing Sync for Windows Mobile software that enables Windows Mobile-equipped devices to synchronize data with the Macintosh. It will cost $39.95.
The company plans to release the software in the third calendar quarter of 2007, but is offering a pre-release alpha version for daring users. When it’s released, you’ll be able to upgrade for $24.95 (free if you purchased the software on or after June 1, 2007.
Many PDAs and smartphones utilizes Microsoft’s Windows Mobile operating system, but on their own they’re incapable of exchanging data easily with the Macintosh. Mark/Space’s Missing Sync for Windows Mobile bridges that gap with software that enables you to sync calendar info, contact info and many other types of data with your mobile device.
New to this release is support for devices that use Windows Mobile 6.0 Classic, Standard and Professional. Mark/Space has already qualified a number of devices to work, including products from Asus, HP, i-Mate, Samsung and others.
Also new to 4.0 weill be the ability to import video from camera-enabled devices, encoding of video for Windows Mobile devices, call log support and SMS text message support (features that can also be found in Mark/Space’s recently released Missing Sync for Palm OS 6.0).
