CollabNet has released Subversion 1.4.4, a Universal binary version of its software development tool. The software is available now as a free download from CollabNet’s
OpenCollab Web site.
Subversion is used for Software Configuration Management (SCM) by distributed teams of software developers. It’s used to support remote development sites using a central repository of development code. CollabNet estimates that about two million developers are already using Subversion.
Subversion itself is an open source project that’s available under an Apache/BSD-style license. In addition to Mac OS X, Subversion runs on Windows, various flavors of Unix, BeOS and other operating systems.
