EMV Software has released a Mac version of
Deluxe PocMon, a game that evokes the classic dot-gobbling arcade hero PacMan. Deluxe PocMon costs $20 to register, and a downloadable demo is available.
Deluxe PocMon is a remake of a game the developer originally created for the Amiga platform, created for PC and Mac using Phelios’ PTK Game Engine, a cross-platform game development kit. The game features 100 levels, 10 bonus levels and lots of options and settings. You can have up to four players playing at once, and the game features a “profile” system that tracks the progress of up to 10 users. “Kids” and “Ace” modes help modify the challenge based on ability, and there are team and duel models. An online hall of fame lets you compare your scores to others.
Deluxe PocMon is available as a Universal binary.
