Karelia Software, makers of the popular Sandvox visual Web page editing software for Mac OS X, have launched Amaphone, an Amazon.com browser Web application specifically designed for the iPhone. It’s being launched as a free beta version.
The software enables you to enter search terms, browse by category and make purchases directly from Amazon.com using your iPhone. It also works on any Mac or PC Web browser.
Karelia cofounder Dan Wood called working with Amazon.com using the iPhone’s Safari interface “frustrating.”
“With Amaphone you can focus on getting prices, checking availability, and ordering direct from Amazon.com in a fraction of the time,” he said.
