Techspansion on Monday announced the release of VisualHub 1.26, an update to its universal video conversion software for Mac OS X. It costs $23.32, and is a free update for registered users.
VisualHub lets you convert from nearly every video format to iPod, PSP, DV, DVD, TiVo, AVI, MP4, WMV, MPEG and Flash. It features a simple drag and click interface, supports Xgrid cluster computing for batch encoding, doesn’t require QuickTime Pro, can batch-process multiple files, features dynamic previews and more.
New to this release of VisualHub is support for the iPhone. It now features presets specifically matched to the iPhone’s screen, along with special “EDGE” and “Tiny” presets aimed at users who want to prepare video for playback over AT&T’s EDGE data network. Videos created using these presets support the iPhone’s “FastStart” and random-access video playback functions.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later. VisualHub is a Universal binary.
