Ken Winograd and Space-Time Associates on Monday announced the release of
5.0.0, a major update to their family and small business accounting software for the Mac. It costs $49.
TinyBooks is designed to provide users with basic single-entry bookkeeping and accounting capabilities. It’s aimed at sole proprietors, home and other small businesses, and family finances. You enter expenses and income, and TinyBooks processes the rest — it offers current and year-to-date “on the fly” totals, automatically bar-charts expenses and income accounts and more.
Version 5.0 adds the ability to print estimates along with invoices. Invoices can now include 10 description lines and one total line with auto-calculated and auto-formatted amount fields on each line. Transactions in “Monthly” windows can be sorted by various criteria; a new Bottom Line report has been added, and more.
System requirements call for Mac OS 8.6 or later, including Mac OS X, and it works with PowerPC and Intel-based Macs.
