LapWorks has introduced the Laptop Desk Futura, a $29.99 apparatus aimed at laptop computer users who want a portable stand for use on the go. It’s available for $29.95.
Available in a “gun-metal” gray finish, the Laptop Desk Futura features open ventilation slots to help laptops exchange air more easily, to keep components working cool. Rubber pads on the desk lift and separate the laptop from the desk, as well.
The Futura weighs 16.75 ounces, and folds in have to 11 x 10.75 inches. One-half inch thick, the device is made of ABS plastic. As a lap tray, it unfolds to 21 x 11 inches, but it can also work as a desktop stand in a “wedge” configuration, providing one of five different typing angles that inclines the notebook’s keyboard for more ergonomically comfortable use.
