Freeverse and Felt Tip Software on Wednesday announced the release of Sound Studio 3.5.3, an update to their audio recording and editing software for Mac OS X. It’s a a free update and costs $79.95 for a new license.
In related news, Freeverse and Felt Tip Software have released “Tuna Pitch,” a free application that helps musicians tune guitars and other instruments. It includes five built-in presets including the standard EADGBE tuning, reference tones and the option to tune all six strings to any note. Tuna Pitch is a standalone application that also includes a Dashboard widget. To find Tuna Pitch, visit the Sound Studio Web page and click on the Goodies link.
The update to Sound Studio incorporates a customizable toolbar with new buttons like rewind and fast-forward, a new Leopard-style gradient edged document window layout, new Automator actions, faster window redrawing and more.
Sound Studio requires Mac OS X v10.4 or later, a G3, G4, G5 or Intel processor, 500MHz or faster, 16MB VRAM, 512MB RAM and 500MB hard disk space.
Tuna Pitch is free and does not require Sound Studio in order to work.
