High Sierra has introduced the Groove and Audible, a backpack and messenger bag, respectively, both of which received Apple’s “Made for iPod” certification . The Web site lists the suggested retail at $125, though a press release from the company said that they cost $69.99 each.
Both backpacks are wired for iPod compatibility with 30-pin connectors and built in “BackBeat” control switches that let you adjust volume, play and pause, and switch tracks. An integrated headphone access port lets you run iPod earbud wires through, as well. The controls are backlit, also.
The Groove comes in blue and charcoal, charcoal and black or chipotle and charcoal color schemes; it features a large, front-load main compartment and top-load center compartment, a multi-pocket organizer with removable key fob, webbing daisy chain to attach accessories, side mesh pocket with 500 ml water bottle and padded backpack straps with thumb-ring pulls.
The Audible has a large-capacity main compartment, shoulder strap pocket for the iPod (with 30-pin dock connector and headphone port), protective lid with straps and hook and loop closure points, multi-pocket organizer and removable key fob, side mesh pocket that can store a 1000 ml water bottle, reflective safety tape on the lid, adjustable shoulder strap with mesh shoulder pad, LED blinker loop and contoured grab handle. It comes in black, charcoal and lava colors.
