Apple has posted Firmware Restoration CD 1.3, a new update to the software that lets you restore the firmware on Intel-based Macs.
The software enables you to create a CD that you can then use to restore the firmware on an Intel-based Mac in the event that a firmware update has been interrupted or, for some other reason, failed in process.
The firmware restoration won’t return an Intel-based Mac to a previous version if it’s been successfully applied, but this can get you out of a pickle if something went wrong while you were updating the firmware on an Intel-based Mac.
