Aspyr Media, best known for being a purveyor of A-list games for the Mac, and major commercial games for the PC, Windows Mobile and consoles, is branching out to include casual games as well.
The company on Tuesday revealed plans to publish for the Mac in retail stores two games already available online — Virtual Villagers and Travelogue 360: Paris, both available from Big Fish Games. The games are coming in August for $29.99 each.
Travelogue 360: Paris is an “I Spy” style puzzle game in which you must find the hidden objects waiting to be discovered in a series of scenes taken in Paris, France. The game sports 22 locales and two different modes of play, “Explorer” and “Tourist.” You’ll also learn fun facts about France while you’re looking for these objects.
In Virtual Villagers, you must help villagers rebuild their land after surviving a horrible volcanic eruption. It’s a casual game but it’s a real-time strategy title in which you help villagers by teaching them by doing, helping them learn to become farmers, builders, scientists parents and more.
