Karelia Software on Tuesday announced the release of Sandvox 1.2.2, an update to its visual Web site design software for Mac OS X. A free update for registered users, Sandvox 1.2.2 costs $49 or $79 to register in Regular and Pro versions.
Sandvox enables Mac users to create Web sites visually, using drag and drop assembly techniques. It features more than forty design templates, so you can create a completely designed site quickly. You can add “microcontent” to your site using “pagelets” that contain text, movies, photos and more; create a Weblog (blog), publish podcasts, share photo galleries and more.
New to the 1.2.2 update are a number of bug fixes, a few enhancement requests and updated localizations. What’s more, the software has also been updated to offer designs better suited to the iPhone.
“We wanted to make sure that Sandvox-produced websites look as good as they can on the iPhone,” explained the developers in a recent release note. “We’ve updated all our designs to eliminate extra margins that iPhone users see when visiting many websites.”
