Apimac has released Compress Files 2.0, an update to their file compression utility for Mac OS X. Compress Files costs $9.95 for a single-user license.
Compress Files is used to archive, compress, encrypt files. It can also omit Mac-specific “invisible” files and file attributes (such as a .DS_Store file or a resource fork) that might otherwise clutter up a package being sent to a Windows PC or a Linux system.
New to the 2.0 release is support for encrypted Zip archives, and the ability to interrupt compressions in progress. Apimac has also made various minor code optimizations.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later.
