Logitech on Monday introduced is VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks. The device is both Mac OS X and Windows-compatible. The new mouse costs $79.99 and is coming in August.
The VX Nano uses a USB receiver to communicate instead of Bluetooth, so it comes with what Logitech calls a “nano-receiver,” billed as “the world’s smallest USB receiver for mice.” It fits almost flush against the notebook when installed.
The VX Nano features a “MicroGear” scroll wheel which can scroll through documents fast or slow. The mouse also features built-in forward and back buttons and a search button to help make navigating Web pages and search engines easier.
Inside, the unit is powered by two AAA batteries. There’s also an internal storage compartment for the nano-receiver.
