Elgato Systems on Tuesday announced that it is offering a bundle of SiliconDust’s HDHomeRun network TV tuner with its EyeTV 2 software. The bundle costs $199.95 and is available directly from Elgato’s Web site.
HDHomeRun is a High Definition (HD) TV tuner with networking capabilities. Elgato provides two user licenses for its EyeTV 2 software, enabling you to control the HDHomeRun from two different computers on your network.
HDHomeRun features two tuners, enabling you to watch video on one channel while recording another. It tunes ATSC — over-the-air digital TV signals via antenna — and it also works with unencrypted digital channels over cable (clear QAM).
Elgato’s EyeTV software lets you view, record and edit TV broadcasts. You can export recordings to your iPod, iPhone or Apple TV, or, using third-party software, burn the recordings to DVD. An integrated program guide lets you find programming using the TitanTV service.
