Equinux on Friday announced the release of iSale 4.2, a new version of its eBay selling software for Mac OS X. A free update for registered iSale 4 users, iSale 4.2 costs $39.95. Upgrades from releases prior to 4 cost $19.95.
iSale helps eBay sellers create professional-looking Web sites for their auctioned gear. It also helps track and manage auctions more effectively. Features include support for Google’s Picasa Web Albums; more than 200 different templates for Web pages; the ability to track auctions using a Dashboard widget; support for multiple user accounts; watch and hit count tracking and more.
New to the 4.2 release are 32 new templates that range from international flags to highlight regional differences to a new “highlighter” look that draws attention to the auction title.
Templates now include areas for introduction, description area, fields for shipping and payment options and a footer section that lets you include anything else you think will make your auctions more appealing. You can drag and drop pictures into the right locations then size them according and post.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later. iSale 4.2 is a Universal binary.
