on Monday introduced its imageCLASS MF4270, a Mac and PC-compatible monochrome laser multifunction printer with a suggested retail price of $299. It will begin shipping to retailers in September, according to the company.
The imageCLASS MF4270 features duplex (two-sided) printing and a 35-sheet Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). It has a built-in fax and can print at speeds of up to 21 pages per minute for letter-sized output, with resolution up to 1200 x 600 dots per inch. It will scan documents in 24-bit color.
The MF4270 can connect directly to a host computer using USB 2.0, but it also features built-in 10/100baseT Ethernet networking. It sports a 250-sheet front-loading paper cassette tray, and it uses the “Canon Single Cartridge System,” which combines the toner and drum in one unit.
