Blue Raven Technology has introduced the Maestro 1070, a 70 watt one-piece iPod and iPhone speaker system. It costs $199.
The company hopes to compete against Bose’s Sounddock and Apple’s own iPod Hi-Fi with the Maestro 1070. The system features one five-inch subwoofer and two three-inch satellite speakers built in to an enclosure that integrates a universal dock that will also charge the battery when the iPod is connected. An auxiliary input port lets other devices use the Maestro for sound output as well.
The Maestro comes with a 12-key wireless remote control and is available in either black or white finishes. It measures 17.75 x 7.25 x 7.5 inches and weighs about 18 lbs.
